Pinsir and Heracross
[edit]We need a better paragraph about the links between Pinsir and Heracross in my opinion. SHUCKLE MAN 19:36, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

, interesting, QPQ done, new enough (converted from redirect five days ago), long enough (over 17,000 bytes on xtools), earwig shows under 20% overlap. Only change I think is needed is that you should clarify that Heracross is a fictional character for those unfamilar with Pokemon Olliefant (she/her) 17:18, 4 November 2025 (UTC)

Mega Evolution picture
[edit]The Mega Evolution picture has no valid fair use in the article. @Captain Galaxy: has said they will expand the description of the image (here, but the current description just says "For visual identification of a subject mentioned in the article". Usually this is fine if the subject is the main subject of the article, but in this case it is not.
While the editor said there is commentary regarding the character, that's not really a valid reason for the images inclusion. There is a brief mention of "Its design features red accents, claw-like hands and a longer horn. Mega Heracross is more strongly based on the hercules beetle" from the National Geographic article. I feel if we apply that to the image, we probably have a fair-use argument as it requires us to understand why we need to see the image (i.e: the NG source says Mega HeraCross resembles the beetle but doesn't go into details. Perhaps a side-by-side image, or even just adding this to fair-use and image description would improve its use here? I'll add it now, but would like to hear what other editors think. Six GA Criteria
[edit]1. Article is well-written. Very minimal mistakes if any at all.
2. No OR, all info is cited in the article.
3. Coverage is broad in depth and focus. Shows multiple aspects of the character.
4. Article appears neutral, and does not appear to hold a significantly negative nor positive stance on the subject.
5. Article appears stable. Does not appear to have had any major vandalism occur.
6. Article uses two fair uses images, with one of debateable rationale.
Lead
[edit]-"Heracross is capable of toppling trees, but is typically docile." I'd reword to something like "Heracross is strong enough to topple trees, but is typically docile" in order to make it clear this is to indicate Heracross's strength and not that it is chronically obsessed with tree toppling.
Done
Conception and development
[edit]-Make sure to remove the slash around Plucks per MOS:SLASH
Done Changed to "or".
Appearances
[edit]-I'd address the Mega Heracross issue presented at Talk:Heracross#Mega Evolution picture.
Done It is already address in the Edit History as well as my talk page.
-"or in the Safari Zone like in the third generation" I feel this is confusing if one doesn't know what the Safari Zone is; I'd reword this somehow or remove it.
Done
-Is Aaron's Japanese name worth mentioning here? At best I'd make this a hatnote. I'd remove mention of the veteran trainer as well given they're a random NPC and not a major named character.
Done Fixed
Promotion and reception
[edit]-"Whilst initially believing that Heracross was just an evolution of Pinsir" Not sure this is super helpful for understanding.
Done Reworded.
Overall
[edit]Overall looks solid. I did a copyedit to address some grammar issues and typos while reading; once the above are addressed I'll do a spotcheck. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 00:24, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
