Incorrect Birth Year

[edit]

In the article, Timrod's birth date is listed as December 8, 1828. However, in Virginia Pettigrew Clare's biography Harp of the South his birth year is listed as 1829 twice (pages 12 and 25). It is also listed as 1829 on the 8th line of the introduction to Poems of Henry Timrod, available via Gutenberg here: http://www.gutenberg.org/files/845/845-h/845-h.htm Therefore, Wikipedia, I think, has had this wrong for quite some time. It's amazing how many modern sources using Wikipedia have repeated this mistake. Anyway, correcting birth year now. Addendum: Just to be one hundred percent sure, I was going to go downtown Columbia to look on his tombstone for his birth date, but I found a photo of it online here: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=6689664&PIpi=57640586 DanQuigley 03:12, 25 February 2015 (UTC)  Preceding unsigned comment added by DanQuigley (talkcontribs)
