Minor Errors and Omissions
[edit]I am Henry Friedlander’s son and wanted to offer a few suggestions for improvement:
1) A very small point, but his place of death was actually a nursing home in Brewer, Maine (I live in Bangor and that I think is how the wrong city found its way into obituaries; the death certificate lists Brewer)
2) With regard to personal life, Sybil Milton was Henry’s second wife. A more accurate summary would add a sentence: “Henry Friedlander was married to Marilyn Hofkins Friedlander, with whom he had three children. Following their divorce he married fellow historian Sybil Milton (1941–2000), who has a German Studies Association memorial prize named after her.” See this obituary for Marilyn to confirm: https://www.edenmemorial.com/obituaries/marilyn-starr-friedlander Mongibeddu (talk) 11:44, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
