[edit]Joseph Davies O.B.E was apparently the the first ever mayor of Hemsworth. He also helped in the construction of a few streets in the neighbouring towns of Fitzwilliam and was also involved in the the foundation of Hemsworth water park.

Standardising the entry
[edit]Hi, I'm just working on editing this page. I think Hemsworth deserves a better, more complete, and interesting article. I've added a history section, based on a thorough privately printed booklet by John Bulley. I'll move on to other sections in coming days. All assistance and comments gratefully received.
