In a letter to The Times, Brook wrote "From birth till death it is now the privilege of the parental State to take major decisions - objective, unemotional, the State weighs up what is best for the child." Peter Hitchens in "The Abolition of Britain" says it was on 16 February 1980. Ann Farmer in "By Their Fruits: Eugenics, Population Control, and the Abortion Campaign" quotes "Norman 2003" saying it was 10 December 1984.
