notability

[edit]

Since I'm intending to write a bunch of articles about woman philosophers, I figured I might as well document explicit notability rationales for each to avoid unnecessary AfD's down the line. Helen Beebee holds a named chair appointment, and thus satisfies WP:ACADEMICS (although I'm sure she satisfies several other notability guidelines as well. Updates

[edit]

First two sentences: "Helen Beebee was formerly the Samuel Hall Professor of Philosophy at the University of Manchester. She is now a professor at the University of Leeds." Second paragraph of "Education and career": "Beebee is currently the Samuel Hall Professor of Philosophy at the University of Manchester..." Obviously this entry needs to be updated. Also, there are two links to the University of Manchester website that are no longer current. Better Read Than Dead (talk) 13:58, 24 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
