Updating Heidi.com page because the domain now belongs to another company

[edit]

I am requesting an update to the Heidi.com Wikipedia page, as the current article refers to the now-defunct Swiss fashion brand. The domain "Heidi.com" is currently owned by Heidi, a UK-based ski holiday operator. This request proposes replacing the outdated content with information about the current company.

The new version of the article is structured to align with Wikipedia’s neutrality, verifiability, and notability guidelines. References to third-party sources have been included.

Since the existing page refers to a defunct Swiss fashion brand, I propose the following:

  1. Move the existing "Heidi.com" article to "Heidi (fashion brand)" to preserve historical information about the original company.
  2. Replace the current "Heidi.com" page with an updated version below about the ski holiday booking company.

This approach aligns with Wikipedia’s notability and neutrality policies, ensuring that both companies have a proper record.

If additional independent sources are required, please advise, and I will provide further citations. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Proposed New Article:

[edit]

Company type: Private

Industry: Travel, Ski Holidays

Founded: 2018

Founders: Marcus Blunt, Alexander Blunt

Headquarters: Bristol, United Kingdom

Website: heidi.com

Overview

[edit]

Heidi is a UK-based ski holiday online booking platform that uses proprietary travel technology to offer flexible, customisable trips to over 300 ski resorts across Europe. Founded in 2018 under the original name Ski Zoom by brothers Marcus Blunt and Alexander Blunt, Heidi is currently the UK’s third-largest ski holiday operator. [1]

On Heidi.com customers can build their own ski trip, as the website “offers the flexibility of a DIY holiday with the convenience of a package by offering all the elements of a winter sports holiday in one place.” [2]

“Heidi allows customers to choose any day for departure, any duration, with a vast array of options. All with flights, transfers, accommodation and ATOL protection as standard.” [3]

Heidi is rated as ‘Excellent’ on Trustpilot, where it has over 3300 customer service reviews. [4]

History

[edit]

Heidi was established in 2018 [5] to address the complexity of booking ski holidays and the inflexibility of traditional packages available on the market. The founders aimed to provide a hassle-free booking experience that made ski holidays more affordable and accessible, by combining transparent pricing, real-time availability, and flexible trip options. [6]

Heidi was ranked 63rd in the 2024 edition of The Sunday Times 100 list of the UK’s fastest-growing private companies, based on compound annual growth over three years. [7]

In 2024, Heidi secured £5.6 million investment to accelerate growth, further enhance its platform, and create new jobs [8]. Mercia Ventures led the funding round with participation from Active Partners and private investors. [9]

In February 2024, Heidi made national headlines with a £78pp ski holiday deal, reported on by journalist Sean Newsom for The Times newspaper. [10]

Services & technology

[edit]

Heidi’s proprietary, bespoke travel technology aggregates flights, accommodation and transfer options into one online platform, allowing users to search thousands of packages in seconds from a choice of over 300 ski resorts across Europe. This allows Heidi to provide instant, real-time holiday quotes for dynamically-priced ski holiday packages.

Heidi.com offers search filters to find ski resorts based on criteria or preferences such as difficulty level, family-friendly facilities, short airport transfer times, and snow conditions.

Customers can tailor the duration of their ski holiday and add extras to their booking, such as lift passes, lessons and ski gear hire. There is also the ability to book group holidays that allow members to fly from different locations.

The company differentiates itself by offering:

  • Over 300 resorts and more than 5,000 accommodation options
  • Low-deposit bookings and a monthly payment plan
  • Real-time availability
  • 24/7customer support
