Are they done freehand or through some sort of tracing (or can a computer program be used to simply turn a photo into a hedcut)? Spam Issue

Someone with a financial interest or insatiable need for internet fame has been relentlessly spamming their personal website on this this page and vandalizing other related illustrator links for what looks like a number of years. She and her not so stealth marketing team have been a scourge on this page. Their usual IP is a floating Northern New Jersey Verizon address. They have attacked me on my User Page which has resulted in me chronicling their ongoing vandalism:
