2 Mansions (1 castle) Burned Down in Irvington, NY in a 15 year period?

[edit]

Not only should this entry link to the Robber Barons article, the idea that this person's mansion burned down a year before he died is highly suspicious. Especially considering his father-in-law's castle burnt down just 14 years prior? Looking at the archive[.org] books, there are several that document all the valuable art, acquired in the 1880s, but still available for auction after the fire in 1902. How have the watchdog media missed such obvious potential scandals. I would also like to note that Standard Oil was broken-up and yet the value of Bishop's holdings increased (as noted in the article). Bishop's friend, JP Morgan, bankrolled the book by Ida Tarbell said to be the nail in the coffin for Standard Oil, but these Robber Barons benefitted rather than suffer consequences. Oil prices increased, I might add, as a consequence of the break-up, which points to a complete ruse at play.
