EP designation

[edit]

Given the number of tracks and the total length why is this being classified as an EP? I've seen it on other sites (rolling stone, etc) but question the designation. 216.243.16.154 (talk) 21:28, 12 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Rolling Stone calls it an EP, so does Philadelphia Inquirer "There’s been confusion over whether Heaux Tales is an album, which it is not. There’s an album in the works." AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 21:33, 12 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
I struggled with the designation too, but found too many secondary sources identifying it as an EP (eight tracks plus six tales). Plus the artist herself calls it an "EP/PROJECT". Te Karere (talk) 02:52, 14 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
It's since been called an album - Pitchfork and on her own YouTube, and in the UK In the United Kingdom, any record with more than four distinct tracks or with a playing time of more than 25 minutes is classified as an album for sales-chart purpose see here. It's also pitchfork's album of the year. >> Lil-unique1 (talk)21:52, 13 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Billboard charting

[edit]

Since charting has not been released yet (releases on Tuesdays), I changed it to TBD (expect 4) so that it requires other sourcing. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 17:41, 18 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
