I think this article needs a section on how this group of Jews has functioned in Israel. A lot of them have moved there. Some controversy existed over whether they should be required to re-convert in accordance with mainstream Israeli Orthodox Judaism. I believe that was resolved in favor of the Ethiopians. A section on this issue, going into the details, would be interesting. Also, the section on monastics was interesting because mainstream Israeli Orthodox Judaism never had monastics, so far as I can determine. How and why did monasticism enter Ethiopian Judaism? Was it actually in Judaism in the early days?184.180.87.188 (talk) 17:11, 9 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

French Huguenots kinsmen of “Haymanots”?

[edit]

Both swarthy. Both said to be ‘religious’. French Huguenots crypto Jews and Haymanots ‘Beta’ Jews. 2A00:23C7:9CA0:7901:D564:A43B:8075:CFD1 (talk) 09:31, 11 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
