Improperly sourced contentious material

I just had to remove the following from the article:

"Sindi claims to have invented a probe called MARS (Magnetic Acoustic Resonance Sensor) combining the effects of light and ultra-sound for use in biotechnology. The patent is, in fact, registered in the names of Prof Christopher Lowe and Dr Adrian Stevenson. Sindi does have a patent registered under her name with publication number EP1546682 B1, however this patent has expired because Sindi did not pay the renewal fees and her company, Sonoptix, is financially insolvent."

The given source can be found at the European Patent Register here. Nowhere on that page does it mention Sindi at all. And from where did this information come that Sindi:

1. Claims to have invented this probe

2. Has this patent registered under her name

3. The patent expired because she didn't pay the renewal fees, and

4. She owns some company called Sonoptix which is financially insolvent?

Given that some smear sites were recently posted with some wild claims about Sindi's private life, it seems to me like someone just has an axe to grind and wants to use Wikipedia as a way to slander a living person. I have removed this content per Wikipedia guidelines regarding biographies of living persons and I suggest that this page be watched for further insertions like this in the future. Alright, I found a reference to this Magnetic Acoustic Resonance Sensor thing on the United Nations website, but it says nothing about patents or lapsing. Considering that:

1. This is a living person,

2. There is a blog out there dedicated to slandering her, and

3. The United Nations (!) still considers this person respectable enough in the scientific community to choose her as a Goodwill Ambassador,

Further deletions

As of late, a large amount of sourced material has been deleted. All of this was done by previous IP addresses, just like the improperly sourced material mentioned above. One of these IP addresses requested to contact me outside of Wikipedia, to which I refused. There is a smear site against the article's subject, and some of what has been written on this article seems to have been taken from there.

Suffice to say that all of this blatantly violates BLP policy, and this page is in need of more monitoring. Wikipedia is not a soapbox for people to write negative material about persons they don't like. MezzoMezzo (talk) 11:13, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
