Anti-Semitism, Anti-Armenianism, Anti-Assyrianism etc.
[edit]Hi everyone. Do you have a source for that Hawpa is Anti-semitist, Anti-Armeanist and Anti-Assyrianism etc? As far i say know, kurdish nationalists is always seen jewish, armenian and assyrian community as a ally, for their common enemy, such as Turks, Arabs and Persians.
The matter should be re-viewed.
Thanks. 2A00:1D34:E891:B300:0:0:0:1 (talk) 13:09, 27 August 2025 (UTC)

Edits on September 4th and suspicions of this article
[edit]I've just made several edits to this article. Much of my edits are based on the Simple English version which I have also edited, but I have made some other changes which I feel are worth mentioning:
- Edited infobox: added Iraqi flag to headquarters and native language ISO code, removed anti-Armenian sentiment (no source to confirm this) and the alternative flag (also no source to confirm its use), altered website links
- As well as expanding the lead, I condensed "Assyrians/Chaldeans/Aramean-Syriacs" into just Assyrians; these names represent one group of people collectively known as Assyrians, and the additional names are unnecessary. Most sources that mention Assyrians also don't use this tri-name designation.
- I've re-added the Fred Aprim reference because although he mentions an older version of the article, his comments are still relevant as he appears to be the first to call out this organization amongst the Assyrian community. I've removed much of the references citing Facebook (Assyrian National Broadcasting) and Telegram (Hawpa's channel) as these are not reliable to cite for this topic as well as in general. If they are mentioned in other sources, the information can be re-added.
- I condensed the "Iconagraphy" section into the "Ideology" section.
- Removed section on Kurden Nasyonalist and converted it into a sentence under "History"; this is a separate organization and their activities are irrelevant save for their meetings with Hawpa members.
This article was published on English Wikipedia last month; it had three attempts at publishing from the Articles for Review process, all of which were denied. What I find noteworthy is that the creator has also uploaded images for the party's activities and logos to Wikimedia Commons ; this image in particular is notable because it can't be reverse searched to anywhere online . Of their seven uploaded images, six of them are about Hawpa. Already some pretty big red flags, but that's not even the end of it.
Earlier I mentioned that I edited the Simple English Wikipedia version of this article . I noted on its talk page around June that the edit history contained three accounts that were registered around its publishing and only edited that one article . IP addresses from the Kurdistan Region have also been seen removing content that blatantly mentions the party's Neo-Nazi/racist affiliations, similarly to the accounts mentioned . Two of those three accounts have since been indef blocked; one for removing content despite warnings , and the other for making off-Wiki legal threats towards me for restoring deleted content .
From these patterns and findings, I am convinced that on-Wiki editing related to Hawpa is being done in great numbers by people who are either supporters or members of the party. I am incredibly concerned, then, of how this article is being edited as if to imply that a Neo-Nazi organization who has called for human rights violations and genocide against ethnic minorities does not have Neo-Nazi/racist ideologies. If any action is taken towards this article or any users beyond this point, I hope editors/admins can note these issues when taking said actions. Surayeproject3 (talk) 22:52, 4 September 2025 (UTC)
- Please also note that the account SarosKrd23 has previously uploaded images of Hawpa from their now-defunct website, all of which were deleted . Surayeproject3 (talk) 23:05, 4 September 2025 (UTC)

Social Media Controversy
In mid to late 2025, a period of coordinated online activity by individuals affiliated with Hawpa was reported on social media platforms, particularly Instagram, where anti-Assyrian rhetoric and misinformation were circulated.[1][2][3] Posts and stories associated with the group promoted hostile narratives toward Assyrians, including denial of Assyrian identity and incitement against Assyrian cultural and religious institutions.[4][5]
The incident prompted a swift and organized reaction from the Assyrian community both within Iraq and abroad. Several Assyrian organizations, including the Assyrian Federation in Germany (ZAVD) and the Assyrian Youth Federation of Central Europe (AJM), issued statements condemning the rhetoric and urging international and regional authorities to take action against hate speech targeting minorities.[1] Online campaigns by Assyrian activists on Instagram and other platforms led to the rapid removal of the offending posts and the suspension of several accounts linked to the group.[3][4]
Commentators and community media outlets noted that the collective response demonstrated a rare show of unity within the Assyrian diaspora and highlighted the capacity of minority communities to mobilize against digital extremism.[1][2]

Description of suggested change
The article currently states that Hawpa participated in Newroz celebrations held in Istanbul and suggests an organizational connection with Kurd Nasionalist.
According to public statements, Hawpa has denied any formal affiliation with Kurd Nasionalist. The current wording may therefore be misleading and should be reviewed.
