Wrong age calculated?

[edit]

Can somone help me understand the age calculation?

In the side-table, it is written that:

Born November 22, 1922 Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada

Died December 1, 2002 (aged 82) Ottawa, Kansas, U.S.

Why is his age automatically calculated as 82? There are 80 years (and 9 days) between November 22, 1922 and December 1, 2002, aren't there? Was there a calendar move/transformation in the start of the 20th century? What am I missing? This date is calculated automatically, so I'm trying to understand if there is even an error here, or maybe I'm not aware of something. Thanks everyone! Nadcu42 10:21, 19 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
