Thank you for your note and for considering best practices for article titles. While "Acharya" is clearly an honorific that Wikipedia policy recommends omitting from titles, "sūri" is indeed a term traditionally used for accomplished Jain scholars but can also serve as a professional or technical designation rather than strictly an honorific.
In the case of Haribhadra, most academic sources and standard Jain usage refer to him as "Haribhadrasūri" to distinguish him from other historical figures named Haribhadra, and "sūri" serves almost as a monastic identifier. Therefore, changing the article title to "Haribhadrasūri"—omitting "Acharya"—balances both scholarly conventions and Wikipedia's guidance against honorifics, while retaining clarity and disambiguation. I see. Yet, Cort, Chapple and Dundas all use Haribhadra. The name "Haribhadra" also seems to be used more common on Wikipedia, not "Haribhadrasuri." So, I'd prefer simply "Haribhadra." Regards, Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk!10:00, 13 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
