Coolio 22's comments about this film are not supported by any form of basic research.

A - HARD MEN reached number 8 in the video charts at the time of its release. To deem a film a flop after a tiny cinema release with a minimal P&A very much shows that Coolio 22's is no way qualified to talk about the business of film or what constitutes a flop. More nuance would have been needed.

B - Arguments to accuse the director of creating fake IDs to spread the good word about HARD MEN are weak. Has Coolio 22 been able to verify that the reviews he mentions have originated from the director as he states? No.

C - To say that the film been universally panned by critics shows again Coolio's lack of proper research. More tthan complimentary reviews were made by HARD MEN at the time of its release. See reviews by: Sight & Sound, Screen International, Evening Standard, Guardian (Derek Malcom, no less!), Philip French in the Observer, etc. etc. among many others.

D - www.bangtowrite.com is not the director's website. Another example of Coolio's lack of basic research.

E - The link to IMDB's Comments Page for HARD MEN shows that the comments are equally divided between the people who liked the films and those who didn't like the film. Hardly the argument made by Coolio which is that HARD MEN is a disliked film.
