Input on major reoganization of console articles

[edit]

I'm proposing a reorganization of several articles that will include or may impact this one that I've outlined at Talk:Video game console#Massive reorganization of several articles proposed and would like input there. --Masem (t) 15:04, 27 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

The Aya Neo series

[edit]

Hi. Just wondering, shouldn't there be an article or atleast a mention on the Aya Neo systems? I know we can't(?) cover every possible handheld gaming PC system out there but they, along with the Onexplayer, seems to so far make a good enough impression almost as much as the Steam Deck. Thanks in advance for the reply.--90.227.109.231 (talk) 07:26, 23 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Timeline history

[edit]

The year numbers on the timeline history is incredibly confusing.

Why does it claim the sixth generation lasted until 2015?? I think we should either rework these years to refer to when the handhelds were discontinued or stick to the generation periods from the corresponding articles (e.g. for sixth generation 2013 is named as the end, not 2015) Selib1230 (talk) 17:02, 23 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Add PlayStation Portal

[edit]

Add it. 139.216.96.5 (talk) 23:14, 15 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

No. It's not a console in of itself. It's a remote play accessory to the PlayStation 5. Sergecross73 msg me 23:40, 15 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Switch Sales

[edit]

The Switch has outsold the DS to become the best-selling handheld console. Thus the image and/or its caption should be changed. ~2026-14010-57 (talk) 14:25, 4 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

The problem is: Nintendo Switch is not a traditional handheld console - but a hybrid console, and Nintendo mostly defined it as a home console, and more than a handheld console publicly.
Yeah, you can argue it's the de facto successor to the 3DS, but still… it's unlike all other consoles listing here. And besides: The pure-handheld version of Switch - Switch Lite didn't sell quite well compare with rest of the models. Infact its sale is even lower than Switch OLED - a model came out two years later than it! Awdqmb (talk) 02:22, 7 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
