I added sources like http://miners.b43.co.uk/history.html.--Wipsenade (talk) 20:49, 4 January 2011 (UTC) I attended Hamstead School next to the site 1966-72. In around 1970 I remember the pithead baths building being The Golden Throstle Club, which was the West Bromwich Albion football supporters social club (Throstle is another name for a thrush which was their mascot). I was only a kid and I have no idea how long this lasted, I recall visiting it with one of my school friends and it was the first time I ever saw a colour TV..  Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.13.63.122 (talk) 14:51, 27 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
