newspaper of record

[edit]

Although it is the 3rd most popular newspaper in Israel, the exposure is still low by only 5.4%. The vast majority of Israelis do not read this newspaper. 2A06:C701:4F00:C100:F476:C2F9:5539:9075 (talk) 17:58, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Two state solution

[edit]

Does Haaretz support a two-state solution? I think this article used to say that but it was removed. Thepharoah17 (talk) 00:41, 20 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Neutrality/wording

[edit]

The article currently says:

> “The Haaretz editorial line is supportive of weaker elements in Israeli society, such as sex workers, foreign laborers, Israeli Arabs, Ethiopian immigrants, and Russian immigrants”

The phrase “weaker elements” is non‑neutral and value‑laden. I suggest:

"supportive of marginalized and disadvantaged groups in Israeli society, including sex workers, foreign laborers, Israeli Arabs, Ethiopian Immigrants, and Russian immigrants."

The phrase "weaker elements" (originally "weaker groups") is borrowed from page 19 of the source, but using it here violates NPOV. The edit maintains the original idea but removes the non-neutral "weaker". Alemonintacos (talk) 04:16, 21 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Year of establishment

[edit]

So was it established in 1918 or 1919? The categories say 1918, the infobox says 1919, and the "History and ownership" section says both. Qualiesin (talk) 19:44, 23 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

2026 vandalism

[edit]

I don't think that the recent vandalism is significant enough to include. It fails both WP:WEIGHT and WP:NOTNEWS. Zerotalk 04:59, 9 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
