Designation
[edit]H.M.S. designation
I have read that the designation H.M.S. for Royal Navy Ships did not start until about 1660 under the reign of King Charles II.[www.royal-navy.mod.uk] Therefore the first Revenge should not carry this designation.
I realize that this may present a problem throughout the entire Wikipedia. Perhaps the date this designation became official should first be stated in Royal Navy History, then ship names throughout the site be corrected as necessary for consistency purposes.Tvbanfield 15:23, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
"Index"
[edit]Why exactly is this (and, I presume, other "index" pages) not considered a disambiguation page? If it's not a disambiguation page, is should be titled Index of ships named HMS Revenge or List of ships named HMS Revenge or something of that sort.
