HMS Flora (1844)

[edit]

There was also an HMS "Flora" based at Ascension Island in the South Atlantic between 31st January 1866 and 1872. She was built at Devonport Dockyard in England and was launched on 11th September 1844. Between 1866 and 1869, the "Flora" was recommissioned three times at Ascension. Captain Arthur Wilmshurst was the master. From 1872, the "Flora" was a guardship at Simon's Bay (Cape Town). In 1891, she was sold and broken up at Simon's Bay. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gulfmann (talkcontribs) 02:28, 18 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

You are quite correct, it appeared to have been missed off in error. Added now. Benea (talk) 17:45, 18 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
