Crew list

The Canadian Forces has already seen fit to make that information public, in the 'Sub Departments' pages of the submarine's webpages at http://www.navy.forces.gc.ca/cornerbrook/3/3-s_eng.asp?category=67&title=773 . There is concern that lists of commanding officers for warships/submarines do not belong, as the information adds very little to the understanding of the subject at hand (in this case, HMCS Corner Brook). If lists of COs are 'maybe', I think that lists of the entire boat's company would be a solid 'no' under WP:What Wikipedia is not, particularly "Not an indiscriminate collection of information", point 5, and "Not a directory", point 7. -- saberwyn 04:57, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

Location

User:Indefatigable has stated in his /her edit summary: "St John's is not on the Labrador coast." I put that bit in , wrongly it would seem, to try and help the reader know where St Johns is. If it is wrong, Indefatigable, how about correcting it? RASAM (talk) 21:47, 16 March 2012 (UTC)

With St John's being the capital of the province, I did not think its location needed elaboration, especially since it is hyperlinked and in a photo caption, which should be kept brief. But if we do decide to elaborate, what should we put? Avalon Peninsula would not work -- if you know where that is, you probably already know where St John's is. Power output figure is incorrect

The power output of the sub is not 37 MW. That amounts to almost 50,000 bhp. No way two diesel engines on a sub can produce that much power. It's probably closer to 3.7 MW. Eseifanium (talk) 10:02, 30 December 2025 (UTC)
