Hipparcos designation? It doesn't seem to be a particularly preferred designation, and one that will quickly become obsolete. There is an HD designation, probably more common in journal papers, but also an HR designation. Either would seem to be a better title? Lithopsian (talk) 14:33, 28 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Subgiants, really?

Despite the clear text, including in the abstract, identifying both components as subgiants, the HR diagram that is referred to in the paper clearly shows both stars on the main sequence, albeit at a fairly advanced stage. Lithopsian (talk) 14:38, 28 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

The article concludes that the stars have only recently departed from the main sequence, marking the beginning of the hydrogen shell-burning phase. Plus, the stars are just a bit hotter than the Sun, but over twice as luminous. 21 Andromedae (talk) 15:11, 28 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
