1. One usually describes the rank function of any ranked poset to be a function from the (elements of) the poset P to the set of nonnegative integers {0, 1, ...}. 2. Usually the symbol ρ is used to denote the rank function, not absolute values. Margaret Readdy (talk) 20:37, 28 January 2018 (UTC)
