Wrong title

This Guominjun should not be read as the Nationalist Army. It is not the Nationalist Army of the Kuomintang (KMT) Nationalists. This warlord army in its claim of China portends to claim to be a national army. More correclty it should be called the National Army so as not to confuse it with the KMT Nationalist Army that fought its way north in the Northern Expedition and in later wars with the Chinese Communist armies.

No, it actually was called the Nationalist Army as that was its most common translation. It was simple, the Kuomintang was translated as "Nationalist Party", so the Kuominchun was translated as the "Nationalist Army" by Time magazine and others. Feng Yuxiang actively associated himself with Sun Yatsen. The Kuomintang's own army was the National Revolutionary Army.--Countakeshi (talk) 12:38, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

I have no problem with following this army's english common name. That said, this force is not the primarytopic for this namespace: the force we're listing under the hypercorrect "National Revolutionary Army" is. Things should be moved around some. — LlywelynII 05:02, 24 January 2015 (UTC)

Different Name?

I looked at the Chinese Language article for this army/clique, and in that article (which is much more extensive than the English version) it refers to the army not as the Guominjun/National Army (国民军), but as the Northwestern Army (西北军) (Alternatively the Belligerent Army [参战军] and Northwestern Border Army [西北边防军]). Should we change this article to be more accurate to the Chinese history as given in that version, or keep it as it? Zhonghua88 (talk) 02:37, 14 August 2016 (UTC)
