Locker (Cabinet) / Gun Safe merger.
[edit]Oppose to the move on gun locker, from the general locker page, it is under a header "Types of lockers" Removing it would cause issues. —Preceding unsigned comment added by The Navigators (talk • contribs) 05:04, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Could somebody remove the worldwide view flag as I have added some information for European countires. Brandonholmes (talk) 12:59, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
Also, does anyone have an opinion on resurrecting the manufacurer list that was deleted from the article. The information seems relevant to the article. However, it seemed to encourage companies adding their links etc. in the past. Brandonholmes (talk) 13:07, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose - No need to mess up Types of lockers section in the other article. A simple link in the other article is entirely adequate. Miguel Escopeta (talk) 19:11, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

Conflict-of-interest disclosure: I have a conflict of interest — I'm affiliated with Moving Company Guys, a moving company that relocates gun safes. Per WP:COI, I'm not editing the article directly but proposing this change for an independent editor to review. Issue: The article does not mention how much gun safes weigh, even though weight is central to installation, floor loading, and transport. This is a gap for readers. Proposed addition (to the Features section): Residential gun safes vary widely in weight, from roughly 100 lb (45 kg) for compact models to over 1,000 lb (450 kg) for large, heavy-gauge safes. A safe's weight determines the crew and equipment needed to move or install it and can require reinforced flooring. Possible supporting source: a published database of gun safe weights by brand and model: https://movingcompanyguys.com/dfw-gun-safe-weight-cost-database/ I recognize this is a commercial source; if editors prefer, the weight ranges can also be supported with manufacturer specification sheets. My main goal is to see the weight information added — the source is secondary. Thank you. | |
