sources...
[edit]hello everyone. I've found some websites that might be used as sources:
midibase (sic)
[edit]as I've noted over on the talk page behind 'guitar synthesizer', we have nothing in wp about steve chick's adaptation of the split-fret idea into bass-based midi controllers. he initially licensed this approach to WAL via valley arts, then peavey (the three I own are the 'midibase' variant) & then via his own bass company. the peavey incarnation uses the split frets to determine midi note number, while other sensors provide velocity & bend data. the bass can be used self-contained, but came stock with a special cable & adaptor box. will look for something acceptable as a citation &/or to adapt into the article, as my own research & experience won't pass muster, sadly, even though I'm twenty years into the things.
