– I propose that the clear primary topic of "guess" is the act of drawing a swift and tentative conclusion from data directly at hand. Up until now we have had no article on this topic, because it is highly abstract and difficult to write. However, with a little help, I have written a reasonably thorough article on the topic. I therefore propose to make this the primary topic of "Guess" (and also to retarget Guessing there, which currently points to a town in Austria). bd2412 T 17:01, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
- In principle, of course, this is an easy support... but I would rather move the draft article to guessing. It would, of course, have primary topic for guess as well. Red Slash 03:37, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
- I have no strong objection to that - the guess is the thing, guessing is the act. By contrast, we have thought with thinking redirected to it and smile with smiling redirected to it, but juggling with juggle redirected to it, crying with cry redirected to it, and walking with walk redirected to it. bd2412 T 03:43, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

Proposed merges
[edit]I propose to merge both Guessing game and Error guessing into the "Uses of guessing" section of this article. Both are long-time stubs with little evidence of any likelihood of future expansion. bd2412 T 21:19, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
Trivia games?
[edit]Is there a reason this is separate from the Trivia page? I would think Trivia games count as a sub category of Guessing games. --BlinksTale (talk) 07:11, 14 March 2018 (UTC)
