Climate data about Guelmim

Question About MOS:FORLANG and Removal of Tamazight Names

I’d like to understand the reasoning behind your recent edits.
1. As far as I understand, you are citing WP:FORLANG as a justification for removing Tamazight names. However, that section mainly discusses the use of non-English titles, while it also links to MOS:FOREIGNEQUIV, which states:
> “A single equivalent name in another language may be included in the lead sentence.” Since my last edit only corrected the orthography of the Tamazight name inside a footnote, this follows the guideline that says: > “Non-English names should be moved to a footnote or elsewhere in the article if they would otherwise clutter the first sentence.” Given this, could you clarify how my edit violated Wikipedia’s policies?
2. If only one non-English name is allowed in the lead, why should it be Arabic and not Tamazight?
- Both Arabic and Tamazight are official languages in Morocco. - Tamazight is the native language of the region. What is the reasoning behind keeping Arabic while removing Tamazight?
3. I have noticed a pattern in your edits where you remove Tamazight names while keeping Arabic ones. Could you explain the rationale behind this?
- Are you applying MOS:FORLANG consistently? - Is there a policy-based reason for removing only Tamazight?
4. I also noticed that you removed Hassaniya, Darija, and Tamazight from the infobox. However, MOS:FORLANG does not mention infoboxes.
- Can you cite the exact Wikipedia policy that states local languages should not be listed in the infobox? - Many articles (such as those for Belgium, Canada, and Switzerland) list multiple languages in the infobox. Why should this page (or any page, really) be treated differently? Could you clarify the reasoning behind this removal?
