"Guard Mount" formation is used by other than USAF
[edit]The formal military formation is of "Guard Mount" is used by other than the USAF Security Forces. For example, when military installations or posts were internally secured by the "Interior Guard", the members of the incoming guard detail would assemble at a given place, time and at an oral command. At that formation they would be inspected for fitness for duty, uniform appearance, weapons and equipment, etc. They would then be briefed on the current status of the security situation and any special instructions which would apply during their tour of duty.
