Conflict of interest edtiting

[edit]

This article has obviously been extensively worked on by one or more editors with a close connection to Grimeborn and/or the Arcola Theatre. You need to read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest for guidance when editing under these circumstances. Please also remember:

  • This is an encyclopedia article, not an alternative website for Grimeborn or a vehicle for publicity. I have heavily edited the PR hype in the article. Please do not restore it. All additions must be neutrally worded and use encyclopedic tone and style. Any additions which can be perceived by a neutral reader as hype or PR will be removed. See Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and Wikipedia:Avoid peacock terms for guidance.
  • I have marked quotations which require a source.
  • I have formatted the latest addition of the 2010 past productions which had been pasted in verbatim from some document. This took a lot of work. When adding past productions in the future, please respect the existing formatting of the article ensure that it conforms to the Wikipedia:Manual of Style.
  • Please use care when linking, I have had to correct multiple instances of links which went to the wrong articles.
  • Wikipedia is not a newsletter, bulletin board, or box-office. Avoid terms like "now", "soon", "currently" and "recently" which make the article both imprecise, and in many instances, quickly inaccurate. If necessary, use expressions such as "as of 2010". Future performances are inappropriate unless they have already received significant coverage in reliable sources independent of the subject.
  • Remember, that once you have written an article on Wikipedia, you no longer own it. It will always have to conform to Wikipedia's policies on content, style and formatting – not to the subject's desired image or marketing goals.

Past performances

[edit]

I’m going to propose getting rid of the past performances section. As [[User:Anvilaquarius]] noted in a recent edit, the festival is still going strong but this section hasn’t been updated in 6 years. At this point it would be hard to even find the missing information. Which is another problem – much of what is here is completely unverifiable by secondary or even primary sources. Looks like a classic case of being updated by an employee or similar who then left the organisation. BobbieCarynBevis (talk) 22:18, 14 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
