Gray Kingbird

Approximate size of Eastern Kingbird, but large head made it appear somewhat larger. Large gray head with blackish mask. Pale gray mantle, wings, and upper tail. Wings were slightly darker than the gray mantle. The under parts were off-white, with the upper breast a contrasting gray color. The long tail was gray and strongly notched. The black bill was much longer and more massive than that of Eastern Kingbird. The iris and legs were dark.
