This is a popular myth. The Gravenstein apple was not introduced to California by Russian fur trappers. It made it to Oregon in 1847, we’ll after the Russians departed, and was brought south as the first grafted fruit. The Gravenstein is only propagated by a graft; the Russians had nothing to graft from or to. 172.102.121.22 (talk) 00:58, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
