History of the San Francisco Bay shrimp fishery

[edit]

Hi Cullen et al., I'm responding to a request for feedback on Drmies' talk page. I took a look at the article, and offhand I was puzzled as to why the section "History of the San Francisco Bay shrimp fishery" is in it. It seems like that is a completely separate topic and should be removed into a separate article. There's nothing that precedes it that explains why it is there, except possibly the word "shrimp" in the opening sentence of the lede. There are no mentions of boats or junks in the section. Is there some way to factor that section off into a separate article, and then maybe have a small section in this wiki article called something like "Chinese shrimp fishing in the San Francisco Bay", with the other article hatnoted as "main article"? I think the text and headings in this article need to focus on the Chinese, and on boats/junks. My initial take, anyway. Softlavender (talk) 11:58, 3 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
