Is this article really worthy of inclusion? --Surturz 04:51, 27 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

This website is notable because people have used it as a reference on Wikipedia as to which term has greater acceptance in general in discussions about merges, and also because the concept is a valuable concept to document. Does anyone have a reason to delete it? --205.201.141.146 19:53, 2 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

At the moment, Googlefight is broken because Google no longer shows how many hits were returned. -- Sad Panda — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.213.245.98 (talkcontribs) 22:25, 24 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Of course, the above is no longer true. --Vlad|-> 10:06, 23 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Stick figures?

[edit]

There reads: Two animated stick figures fight on screen after the queries are entered
I recall that was there sometimes. But, now I see only some rolling blocks as it counts the hits background. Currently, it also seems to set the winner as 100 and the losers hits as a percent of that.
I wonder if anyone when these were changed? 85.76.169.72 (talk) 22:06, 20 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Today it shows two vertical bars of different height, but both with 100 above the top. The taller bar has a trophy at the top. HuwG 114.198.23.216 (talk) 18:37, 5 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

I have edited the history some. The article still has the article needs to be updated flag. Also, need to check the physical references and move "The results may be comforting.." out of the history section. KING (talk) 05:22, 2 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Does the site even work anymore? I'm getting 0 v 0 no matter what I type now. ScratchMarshall (talk) 21:25, 13 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Tense of the article

[edit]

The website is still in existence and functioning as normal, why is the article written in the past tense as if it is defunct? That doesn't make sense. 69.74.33.158 (talk) 18:52, 4 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

It does not work. Hasn’t worked for some time. Try anything and you get “File not found”. Well, the French version fails differently: the fight seems to work, but always gives 0 result for both words. Mullisaukko (talk) 06:59, 16 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
PS. According to https://www.searchcommander.com/blog/google-fight/ (2002) the original site has been broken for "several years". See also comment above, from 2018 Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:19, 4 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
The website opens but does not work. Any idea since when? I've added 'created in 2002' based on the ref I found. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:18, 4 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
