Google Play instant apps

[edit]

The Google Play instant apps section is outdated because it still acts as if December of last year hasn't happened. Someone fix that. ~2026-10401-22 (talk) 23:23, 30 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Add 2026 estimate to "History of app growth" table?

[edit]

Disclosure: I am affiliated with Chrome-Stats. I’m requesting review rather than editing the article directly.

The "History of app growth" table currently ends with March 2018. Chrome-Stats now publishes a dated Google Play statistics page. As of May 13, 2026, it reports 2,500,279 apps and 298,668 games on Google Play. Chrome-Stats describes these as third-party estimates based on stable daily snapshots of public Google Play listing data, not official Google totals.

Suggested row:

Year Month Applications available Downloads to date
2026 May 2.5 million apps[1] 1.574 trillion[2]

It appears there is a syntax error, resulting in showing these symbols "|}" after the table.
Also, since the stats on the live URL is updated daily, maybe add a link to the Internet Archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20260519142305/https://chrome-stats.com/android/stats ~2026-31871-15 (talk) 23:03, 27 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Ooops. Thanks for the correction. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 02:12, 28 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
