Stroke and end of "public career"

[edit]

The article states he suffered "a stroke which ended his public career" in 1698. Yet I see he continued to sit in Parliament for Buckinghamshire into the next century and decade. How do you define "public career"? It would be helpful if the extent of his disability could be defined, or some account be made for his continuing service in Westminster.Cloptonson (talk) 14:59, 6 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
