Fair use rationale for Image:GoodLookingRecords.gif

[edit]

Image:GoodLookingRecords.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:28, 4 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

This article is lacking critical data

[edit]

First of all, GLR no longer exists. Therefor it should be referred to in the past tense here. Secondly, there was a whole big controversy as to why GLR went out of business that it completely missing here.

Tony Fordham

[edit]

Tony Fordham was actually running GLR back in early 90's when artists like LTJ Bukem, Seba and DJ Blame were 'under his wing' so to speak. 86.22.43.187 (talk) 19:17, 8 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Lacking information about certain topics

[edit]

"Looking Good Records" weren't special editions for releases but GLR's first sub-labels of many. Looking Good Records - no specific owner, Nexus Records - Tayla, 720 Degrees - Blame, Cookin Records - for slower downtempo tracks, Earth Records - for the Earth series, Diverse Recordings - Intense, 1 release there, Blue Vinyl, and Ascendant Grooves

The article also lacks in the history page. There was indeed a hiatus from 2005 to 2013 with a few releases in between but they stopped in 2014 and haven't been heard of since. There is no mention of digitization of some of the back catalogue that happened in 2013. Lacks proper discography and notable releases. I think the page would benefit as there is not much organized information about the label and it was not one of many of this kind. 217.119.73.115 (talk) 16:11, 6 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

This article is practically a copy-paste of a self published text
