Maastricht and Bouillon?

There is clearly some confusion in this article about the condominium of the Liege Bishopric and the Dukes of Brabant. It only consisted of (parts of) Maastricht. Bouillon never shared this status. Bouillon may have had a special status, as the Bishops styled themselves as Dukes of Bouillon (and apparently it got recognized by the Holy Roman Empire at some point), but at no point, Bouillon was shared with the Dukes of Brabant.

Also, interestingly, Maastricht also had (and still has) a Perron. 143.176.94.161 (talk) 19:15, 26 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
