Source

[edit]

Unfortunately, I cannot provide a source. I was told this by a History teacher in school. Its a bit of word of mouth history. I won't change it until you reply here.--Play Brian Moore 11:02, 1 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Opening Paragraph

[edit]

The news items relating to Charlie getting shot in his leg, and the recent murder enquiry are a little parochial for an encyclopedia, and in any case should not be in the opening paragraph. Any objections if they're deleted or moved to a section that deals with local newsworthy and notable events? Bardcom (talk) 12:40, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

No, go ahead as far as I'm, concerned - indeed, they do not belong there, and are dubious for the article as a whole. SeoR (talk) 15:52, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Can't agree. It was the most notable event in Goatstown history; it is as notable as Goatstown is. Sarah777 (talk) 21:14, 23 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Which event was the most notable, there were two events in the lead paragraph? What about creating a "Recent notable events" section and putting the info there rather than the lead para? --Bardcom (talk) 21:18, 23 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sounds good. (I was talking about the shooting and trial which received extensive national coverage). Sarah777 (talk) 20:57, 24 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Done, though I haven't used the coordinates you've specified above, which are for a location in County Wicklow, not in County Dublin. Deor (talk) 19:07, 25 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
