It would be interesting to know of any Alanic connexion for Goar, considering that the Alans had a presence in Aquitaine under their king Goar. Srnec 07:03, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

a very minor one

[edit]

Good article! A word missing here: "The bishop called upon Goar to name of the father of the baby..." Lupo Manaro 08:57, 14 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Addressed. Thank you! Alekjds talk 13:41, 14 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

What??

[edit]

This sounds like some non-encyclopedic material. "hanging his hat on a sunbeam".... come on this is not the Bible people, stuff like this has no place on Wikipedia. Max ╦╩ 14:18, 14 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

No one is saying this really happened (ergo, "semi-legendary account"). It's a legend about the saint, and explains why sometimes he's depicted in a certain iconographical way. Medieval vitae are full of this sort of thing, and it is certainly encyclopedic. Alekjds talk 16:42, 14 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
