- Firstly, the statement that it can be used by any free software project does not imply that it can only be used by free software projects.
- Secondly, only parts of Gnulib are licensed under LGPL.
- For example, Fedora lists the following license expression for version 55.20251223git.fc43: Public Domain and BSD and GPLv2+ and GPLv3 and GPLv3+ and LGPLv2 and LGPLv2+ and LGPLv3+
- Meaning that some Gnulib routines are licensed differently. Gms (talk) 23:49, 28 March 2026 (UTC)
