Requested update: later career and Cedar Lake proceeding

[edit]

Conflict-of-interest disclosure: I am affiliated with the Cedar Lake Evidence Project, which researches and publishes information concerning the Cedar Lake matter. I am requesting review by an uninvolved editor rather than editing this biography directly.

I suggest adding the following section after “Fallin Administration”:

Later career

[edit]

In 2013, Coffee founded Glenn Coffee & Associates, a law firm focused on government, ethics, and campaign-finance law.[1] He subsequently represented the state during negotiations leading to the 2016 water-rights settlement involving Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, and the Chickasaw and Choctaw nations.[2] In February 2025, Coffee returned to the Oklahoma Senate as senior legal consultant to its Republican caucus.[3]

In 2026, Oklahoma Voice reported that Coffee signed a proposed agreement with the Oklahoma Water Resources Board as manager of C&F Ranch and Coffee Grounds LLC, entities involved in a proceeding concerning dams upstream of Cedar Lake. Residents alleged that the dams reduced lake inflow and contributed to nearby well problems; Coffee said his family retained engineering firms and legal counsel, while the companies’ attorney disputed the residents’ claims.[4][5] The Board tabled the proposed agreement in July 2026. OWRB later said its investigation found no evidence that the dams caused the lake or well decline, attributing conditions to drought, evaporation, limited streamflow, and falling groundwater levels.[6]
