Proposed redirect

[edit]

Virtually all the articles that link to Gibson actually want Gibson Guitar Corporation. Therefore I propose to rename this page "Gibson (disambiguation)" and redirect Gibson to Gibson Guitar Corporation. Colonies Chris (talk) 09:04, 14 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Use of apostrophe in page title: ??

[edit]

I have added ** Gibson’s paradox ** to Other Uses, but I am forgetting the proper syntax for an apostrophe in a page title to ensure a linkable title. Can anyone take up the slack ? TIA. — RayBirks (talk) 13:55, 8 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Done Just use a straight apostophe ('), not a curly one (’). Martin of Sheffield (talk) 14:15, 8 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
I want(ed) to place a ‘Thumb Up’ icon here to say Thank You, but I don’t know if this is WP-specific or otherwise. Care to do a bit more educatin’? - - RayBirks (talk) 20:56, 10 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
Have a read of MOS:APOSTROPHE for the rationale. The other thing is I tend to do a cut-and-paste from the article title or from the URL into the wikilink, so I know it's correct. HTH, Martin of Sheffield (talk) 21:10, 10 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
