  • Well done on this GA, it looks great! This is well sourced and Earwig shows no issues. The article was brought to GA status 4 years ago and hence is eligible and QPQ has been done. I verified the hook via the source. Only thing is that some of the paragraphs in the article are quite long and could be slightly split up, but that is not a huge issue. Also, it would be great if you could archive the online sources, but again this is not stopping it from going on DYK. This is good to go, well done!! :) DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 13:35, 20 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Lead

[edit]
  • "deserved to be the 1,000th Pokémon design" this implies it was the 1,000th Pokémon designed, something which ins't confirmed in the article. "Gholdengo" is the 1000th pokemon by pokedex article, the wording should be updated to reflect this
 Done Reworded
  • "as well as various merchandise" unless I'm reading it wrong (which to be clear I might be) this seemingly implies that Gholdengo appeared inside the merchandise as opposed to the merchandise being of Gholdengo

Concept and design

Appearances

[edit]
  • In the final paragraph "Pokémon Horizons: The Series" needs to be italicized
 Done

Promotion and reception

[edit]
  • "as being too big to fail" I think the phrase "too big to fail" should be in quotes
 Done Added
  • Given the connections to Spain are noted I think it's worth mentioning that Scarlet and Violet were based on Spain (and Portugal(kinda))
 Done
  • I'd clarify that ref 51 is citing a different review than ref 50 to avoid readers accidentally assuming the two are from the same review
 Done
  • "Prima Games", "TheGamer", and "String Cheese" are all linked twice in the section.
 Done Fixed.

References

[edit]
  • Might be a me issue but ref 29 isn't working
You're ability to view it is likely hindered by the Cloudflare failure that happened today.
Ah, I'll AGF that the citation is correct and will be restored soon hopefully.
  • Ref 43 needs to be better broken up, probably use bullet points to break it up
Bullet points don't appear to work in citations but I have at least adjusted it so each source doesn't overlap.
  • Spot checks didn't turn anything up

Misc
