The Sieve

In the rewrite, most content was kept, but one unsourced claim I cut seems like it might be important. Here is the passage:

Ghezo is said to have used the sieve as a metaphor for the kind of unity needed for the country to defeat its enemies and overcome its problems; i.e., it takes everyone's hand to block the sieve's holes and hold water. The pierced clay jar upheld by multiple hands has become a national symbol in Benin --a large portrayal of it is the backdrop of the speaker's podium in Benin's National Assembly.

Seems like this would be key and indeed that metaphor is the core argument in Akinjogbin's book. But I can't find it ascribed to Ghezo anywhere. Maybe I'm missing something, but if anyone can support this claim, let's add it back in. AbstractIllusions (talk) 19:24, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
