Ghantapada the legendary village.

It is believed, from prehistoric time ,more correctly from ancient ages This place/village(ghantapada) unveiled. within surroundings of jungles hence wild animals, a spot was selected to take rest by Maa Hingula(Goddess in fire form).while moving towards Puri Jagnnath dham(Purusattom khetra) accompanying King Nala of vidharba state as Her(Maa Hingula) carrier media,Goddess wished to take a break on Her journey at a place which is now located in ghantapada village.The spot/location is known as Hingula Jhandaa potaa(Installation of divine flag)shrine.Hence,it is obvious that Origin of ghantapada is related with very ancient factors. 2401:4900:3DA6:6A3F:0:0:A37:4D3A (talk) 12:31, 23 June 2021 (UTC)

Famous Laxmi puja of The village.

The Laxmi puja fest celebrated in Ghantapada is started during 1961 by a group proposal by some constructive people including Shree Ratnakar sahu of bhagbat sahi accompanying (Shree Santosh pradhan(Santu padhan) of pradhan sahi,lawyer Shree Basant Pradhan of baula chhak, Shree Bhagban sahu,baula chhak & more .

Initially The puja is strated at a place at the junction at bhagbat sahi, Mahila samiti bhaban & baulachhak road. It is named as "Laxmi Narayanee puja Samiti". The festival was interrupted for two years due to covid19 restrictions. with a minimal & emphasizing on core purpose following the covid19 rules the puja was completed during these time. Now the puja mandaps are speard in different places of the village. The Laxmi puja festival of Ghantapada village is famous in the Talcher locality.
