Proposed deletion notice removed without explanation

An anonymous/temporary account removed my proposed deletion notice without explanation or improvement to the article. Per the rules not to replace the not to reinstate replace it, but I'm leaving my original reasoning here to register my dissent and invite further discussion of this article.

WP:NOTDICT. Article is a definition/translation of the German word for firearm. It includes only one reference, which is itself a dictionary definition, and the items in the Types section have no relationship to each other besides simply being German firearms. "Gewehr" has no apparent independent English-language referent, so there is little chance that the article could be expanded or edited to become an encyclopedia entry. Article appears to have been created in 2004 when the Wikipedia/Wiktionary boundary was presumably much more porous. Walker Elliott (talk) 17:53, 7 September 2026 (UTC)
