Have you seen “Getting Along Famously”????

[edit]

I like the show, and the clothes are outrageous!!! It’s set in the early 60’s and all of the outfits are PERFECT. The show within the show is a retro variety show, so there are like 8 outfits in every half hour. So much inspiration! If you love the era, you have to watch the show. Ruby, the main character, is fabulous! I watch every show just to see what she has put together.

The next shows will be on Friday, February 3 and Friday, March 3 at 9:30 on CBC.

You can also check out the previous outfits on their website (it’s a pretty good site):

The Show within the show within the show...

“Getting Along Famously” is a tribute to our generation of the variety show (I hope I am not dating myself, here). But the show is quite funny, and very silly. I suppose they call that satire. But if you love Canadian humor (who doesn’t) the show is very well done.

The main character s Ruby and Kip (played by Colin Mochrie) are very convincing as the fabulous (yet aging) stars.

The show is only on their first season, and the season finale is on CBC (but don’t let that sway you) next week...
