http://www.tibet.com/buddhism/geshe.html I wonder what has been the reason given for not accepting women to geshe carriere. Is it known? Who of the Tibetan Buddhist scholars invented this? (in case it has been invented by some Tibetan.) Which words have been used?

Tenzin Palmo said in this interview: "So gradually things will begin to change for the better. Also in Kyabje Penor Rinpoche’s nunnery, a number of nuns have graduated and to all extents and purposes should eventually be able to become Khenmos.
What does Khenmo or Khenpo mean?
